Living in Parker, Colorado has given me the perfect inspiration for my wood carving projects. With its abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes, I have found my main subjects right at my doorstep. As a wood carver, I have always been drawn to the beauty and intricacy of nature, and Parker provides me with the perfect canvas to bring these subjects to life.<\/p>\n
One of my favorite woods to work with is walnut. Its stable grain and rich colors make it the ideal choice for capturing the essence of the wildlife I encounter. Whether it’s a majestic elk or a playful fox, walnut allows me to carve intricate details and bring out the natural beauty of these creatures.<\/p>\n
But my woodworking projects don’t stop at carving. I also enjoy turning small projects on my lathe, and for that, cedar is my go-to wood. Its beautiful colors and fine texture make it a joy to work with. From bowls to pens, cedar brings out the elegance in every piece.<\/p>\n
